Sixth Session of the Committee on Trade

10 - 12 February 2014

Salle VII, Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland

6th session of the Committee on Trade

The sixth session of the Committee on Trade will discuss recent achievements in removing regulatory and procedural barriers to trade in Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Balkans. The session will also feature a special focus on Tajikistan, based on the results of an in-depth assessment of the country’s legislative and institutional framework governing trade-related regulatory and procedural measures.

The session will be held back-to-back with the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Integration, which will take place  on 12 - 14 February 2014, to  discuss the emerging landscape for innovation and financing of public-private partnership, including the results of the Innovation Performance Review that was carried out in Armenia.

Both Committees will have a specific discussion on what synergies could be found in the work of the two Committees and how these could improve the results of the work of the UNECE.
