Mark Hopkins

Mark Hopkins is Chair of the UNECE Steering Committee on Energy Efficiency 21.  An internationally recognized expert in energy efficiency, with more than 30 years’ experience in policy and programme development, he’s also the former executive vice-president of the Alliance to Save Energy, where he developed an international programme to improve energy efficiency in 20 transitional and developing countries.

More recently, he has served in the private sector, developing a new clean-energy business model for Lockheed Martin. He leads the UN Foundation’s new initiative to organize the energy-efficiency business community to help UN member countries set specific goals for improving energy efficiency and apply quantifiable policies to achieve those goals.
