76th session of the Committee on Housing and Land Management

The 76th session of the Committee on Housing and Land Management will bring together high-level representatives of governments and stakeholders from the UNECE region and observers to discuss the implementation of the Geneva UN Charter on Sustainable Housing, the Committee's Strategy for Sustainable Housing and Land Management in the ECE region 2014-2020 and the preparations to the Third United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development - HABITAT III, which will take place on 17-21 October 2016 in Quito, Ecuador. The Committee is also expected to endorse Smart Sustainable City Indicators.

Participants to the Session are advised to book their accommodation early. Some of the hotels found in the following links may apply United Nations preferential rates.

ENTERING PALAIS DES NATIONS

The meeting will take place IN Room XII,  Palais des Nations, Avenue de la Paix, Geneva, Switzerland.

Delegates should enter the Palais through the Pregny Gate (Portail Pregny - see map) entrance, which faces the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) headquarters on Route de Pregny. The nearest bus stop is called "Appia" (for public transport schedules, see www.tpg.ch).

In order to obtain your identity badge from the Security Services, you will be asked to present a valid passport or a national identity card. Your badge is strictly for your own personal use. Please note that delays here are common and lengthy, and unfortunately, delegates will have to wait in the open air.

The Pregny Gate is open from 08h00 to 17h00 from Monday to Friday, non-stop.
