UNECE has played an active role at the regional level in preparing, supporting and implementing the Monterrey Consensus achieved at the 2002 International Conference on Financing for Development by organizing a series of conferences, meetings and seminars bringing together experts from governments, intergovernmental organizations, and academic institutions and NGOs.
