Road Safety Performance Review Workshop: “UN Transport Legal Instruments – a tool for better Road Safety Management”

As part of its ongoing mission to improve road safety, UNECE, in cooperation with the Special Envoy’s Secretariat and UNECA, held a three-day workshop on Road Safety Performance Reviews during 5-7 July 2017 in Palais des Nations. The workshop gathered road safety stakeholders from Albania, Georgia, Cameroon and Uganda. It promoted policy dialogue on improving road safety, offering a valuable opportunity to learn from best practices and the experiences of other countries, and provided representatives with a chance to discuss progress in preparation of Road Safety Performance Reviews (RSPR). Earlier this year, the Special Envoy launched RSPRs in Cameroon and Uganda, aimed at identifying gaps in national, legal, and regulatory frameworks and compliance with the United Nations road safety legal instruments.
