On 14 and 15 March, the Special Envoy held meetings at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City to increase awareness of global road safety situation, garner interest on the issue from relevant agencies and provide updates of Special Envoy activities and future plans.
He also met with the following United Nations representatives:

• Mr. Francois Delattre, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations;
• Mr. Stephane Dujarric, the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General;

• Mr. Edmond Mulet, Chef de Cabinet
