Road Safety Workshop in Geneva

Road safety workshop hosted by the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety, UNECE Inland Transport Committee and Euromed RRU was held at the Palais des Nations, Geneva on 22 February.
The main objectives of the Special Envoy are to help strengthen global partnerships and increase political will and governance on road safety, particularly through the promotion of the UN Road Safety Conventions. To contribute to these objectives, and on the occasion of the 78th session of the UNECE Inland Transport Committee, the Special Envoy for Road Safety hosted a Road Safety Workshop: Best Practices and Key Partnerships for Road Safety. The workshop was held in partnership with the UNECE Inland Transport Committee and the EU funded EuroMed RRU project and hosted country representatives and government officials from five states - Tunisia, Kenya, Jordan, Uganda, Greece, as well as the European Union.
