The Working Party on Transport Trends and Economics (WP.5) is an intergovernmental body that provides a pan-European forum for exchange of ideas about the progress and challenges concerning sustainable inland transport across the pan-European region.

The objective is to enhance the understanding of the main inland transport trends and developments in the UNECE region and strengthen international cooperation to develop sustainable Euro-Asian transport links.

News and Events

WP.5 25th session (3-5 September 2012):

On Monday, 3 September 2012, the Working Party held a workshop to consider and review "Urban Transport and Mobility" in UNECE region. The workshop programme is available here.

The International Conference on Adaptation of Transport Networks to Climate Change was held in Alexandropoulis, Greece, on 25-26 June 2012. Related documents, presentations and photos are available here.

The Questionnaire for the transport trends and economics review of 2011 is now available in English, French and Russian.
