The Review of Implementation is a periodic review based on reports by Parties. These reports are in response to a questionnaire. The review provides information on how the obligations of the Convention have been compiled with, both at the general level and by particular Parties.
The development of a questionnaire was initiated by the first session of the Meeting of the Parties and was intended to collect and analyse information on the application of EIA in a transboundary context with a view to preparing relevant guidance (decision I/6 on adoption of the workplan, "Practical Application of the Convention").
