On the occasion of the International Year of Forests, and to celebrate World Environment Day, UNEP organized a press briefing at the United Nations in Geneva. Roman Michalak, Senior Forestry Officer at the UNECE/FAO Forestry and Timber section presented the UNECE/FAO/Forest Europe State of Europe's Forests 2011 preliminary findings.
