<description>A new 6 page glossy color brochure was recently issued under the PanEuropean Programme on Transport Health and Environment (THE PEP) The brochure lays out the four Amsterdam Goals adopted by Ministers at the Third Highlevel meeting on Transport Health and Environment (January 2009 Amsterdam) and describes the link between urban problems stemming from unsustainable transport including air pollution noise emissions climate change and energy use deaths and injuries from road traffic accidents and the psychosocial effects of the stress of urban life and physical inactivitiy The brochure sets out THE PEP approach of tackling issues of sustainable urban transport through communication and collaboration among the three sectors of transport health and environment The brochure available in English French and Russian is part of a more farreaching communication strategy to raise the visibility of THE PEP and the importance of working together for sustainable and healthy transport
