UN/CEFACT announces forthcoming visit to Asia e-Business community

UN/CEFACT delivers the global e-Business vision, which is technology-neutral

The United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT), which is based in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), announces that it is sending a senior delegation of its Steering Group members to visit the Asian e-Business community ahead of the coming UN/CEFACT Forum meeting in Seoul.

Between 1-12 September, a delegation consisting of Ray Walker (Chair, UN/CEFACT Steering Group), Kenji Itoh (Vice Chair UN/CEFACT), Klaus-Dieter Naujok (Chair, UN/CEFACT Techniques and Methodologies Group) and Dave Welsh (Chair, UN/CEFACT Business Process Work Group) will visit six countries and explain how UN/CEFACT is organized and how its Business Collaboration Framework (BCF) delivers an e-Business driven technology vision.

Starting at the APEC meeting in Taipei (1-2 September), then Singapore (3-4 September), Kuala Lumpur (5-8 September), Hong Kong SAR (9-10 September), Tokyo (11-12 September) and Seoul (15-16 September) the UN/CEFACT delegation will meet leaders in government, industry, and academia who are developing e-Business and trade facilitation standards for Asia.
