Quality Management Systems
The focus of this component of the UNECE sub-programme
on Industrial Re-structuring and Enterprise Development is
the promotion of international quality standards and quality
management systems among enterprises, especially among SMEs,
in countries in transition.
To implement this goal a joint Team of Specialists
(Advisory Group) of the WP.8 and the WP.6 was established.
Apart from promoting quality standards, another goal of this
programme component is to encourage and facilitate the development
of Good Corporate Governance by creating an international
standard of Good Corporate Governance, as well as an incentive
mix that could stimulate socially desirable changes in corporate
behaviour.
