Welcome
This collection of “Good Practices in Education for Sustainable Development” is a toolbox reflecting the experiences of various governments, international organizations, research institutions, NGOs and other stakeholders.
These are concrete examples of successful implementation of ESD in different areas, from the political arena to the school setting and from formal to non-formal and informal learning.
New! UNECE and UNESCO are pleased to invite you to participate in the new collection of Good practices in addressing sustainable consumption and production (SCP), including sustainable transportation (ST), through ESD in the context of climate change
New! You will find the good practices on SCP and ST through the Good Practices link on the right side of the screen, under the following countries and organizations: Armenia, Austria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, UNICEF.
New! Analysis of regional trends in addressing sustainable consumption, production and transportation through ESD has been presented as a background document (English, French, Russian) for the Regional Implementation Meeting (RIM) on Sustainable Development (1-2 December 2009). A number of good practices has also been selected for presentation to the RIM-4 (English, French, Russian).
We hope that this ongoing project carried out jointly by UNECE and UNESCO will assist countries in their efforts to implement ESD!
