UNeDocs Layout Key Freight Forwarding Instructions

A Forwarding Instructions is a document/message issued to a freight forwarder, giving instructions regarding the action to be taken by the forwarder for the forwarding of goods described therein. (UNEDIFACT D.01C, Data Element 1001)

 

UNeDocs UNTDED Data Model

The UNeDocs FFI data model is build on the basis of the United Nations Trade Data Element Directory (UNTDED, ISO 7372). The data model describes the information of the paper and the electronic documents.

UNeDocs Paper Layout Key

The Paper Layout Key provides the  paper document forms and  gives guidelines for the user on how to fill in the document. The document forms are aligned to the UN Layout Key (UNLK).

UNeDocs EDI Layout Key

The EDI Layout Key provides the message implementation guide (MIG) which explains  how to implement the document as a UN/EDIFACT Message. The UNeDocs FFI Message Implementation Guide is based on the EDIFOR IFTMIN Message Implementation Guide.

UNeDocs XML Layout Key

The XML Layout Key contains the document Schema and  style sheets to render (display)  the XML document   on a Web browser or as  PDF document that is ready for print. The paper document is aligned to the document forms of the Paper Layout Key.

FIATA supports and actively participates in the facilitation of international trade procedures carried out in the United Nations Economic Commission of Europe. FIATA supports the alignment of international trade documentation within the United Nations electronic Trade Document Project (UNeDocs). FIATA has developed a set of UNLK aligned standard documents and forms for freight forwarders. Their use is restricted to freight forwarders which are members of a national freight forwarders association affiliated to FIATA.
