Maintenance of the Resource Manual

Preparation of two-page informal pamphlets on key issues in SEA practice

On-going (being lead by IAIA)

Workshops, including training, on the application of the Protocol for countries in the UNECE region and other Parties to the Protocol, in particular countries of South-Eastern and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia

Planned, lead country: organizing country (for training: Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, and Ukraine), with support of experts from Austria and Slovenia, and from REC-CEE and WHO invited to share their experience

Pilot SEAs in selected countries, in selected sectors

Planned:

(a) Pilot project in the Republic of Moldova on 2012

(b) Pilot project in Armenia on 2012–2013

(c) Pilot project in Azerbaijan on 2012–2013

Preparation of a format for SEA notification

Planned, lead: secretariat with assistance of an editorial group comprising Austria and Germany (draft prepared by secretariat and circulated to editorial group on 21 November 2011 for comments by end of year)

Development of legislation on SEA

Planned for 2013, lead country: Republic of Moldova

Joint workshop on public participation in SEA in accordance with the Protocol and article 7 of the Aarhus Convention
