Meetings and Events
The meeting will be the last Task Force’s meeting before the third session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol on Water and Health, scheduled for 25-27 November 2013 in Oslo. It will therefore focus on the preparations for the Meeting of the Parties and have three main objectives:
- Discuss the results of the Workshop on Reporting and the deriving recommendations for the ongoing second reporting exercise under the Protocol, for which the deadline for the submission of summary reports is 29 April 2013 - 210 days prior to the third session of the Meeting of the Parties
- Review progress in setting targets and target dates as well as progress towards achieving the targets, and draw lessons for the future, including from the work of the Task Force
- Discuss and agree on a draft future programme of work for the Task Force for 2014-2016 to address common challenges, in view of its possible adoption by the Meeting of the Parties at its third session.
The sixth meeting of the Task Force will be held in the Palais des Nations, Geneva, on 14 February 2013, back to back with the Workshop on Reporting (12-13 February 2013).
