Ninth meeting of the Joint Expert Group
on Water and Industrial Accidents
The ninth meeting of the Joint Ad Hoc Expert Group on Water and Industrial Accidents will take place on 9-10 July 2008, in Geneva in Salle VIII.
The meetimg will discuss various issues, including the draft Safety guidelines/good practices for tailing management facilities (TMF) as drawn up by a steering group with expertise on mining and tailings and a first draft outline of a Guidance for cross-border contingency planning.
Participants should submit the registration form. Experts from eligible countries with economies in transition may apply for financial support to facilitate their participation in the meeting. Requests for financial support should be sent together with the registration forms as soon as possible, but not later than 10 June 2008.
