Summary: On 23 September 2009, the Armenian non-governmental organization Transparency International Anti-corruption Centre, in collaboration with the associations Ecodar and Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly of Vanadzor, submitted a communication to the Compliance Committee alleging failure by Armenia to comply with its obligations under articles 6 (2), (4), (8), (9) and (10), and 9 (2) of the Convention. The communication concerned the issuance and renewal of licences to a developer for the exploitation of copper and molybdenum deposits in the Lori region of Armenia.
