The twentieth meeting of the Committee was held on 8-10 June 2008 in Riga (Latvia). Among other things, the Committee discussed presentation of its report to the 3rd meeting of the Parties later that week, including with regard to updates on compliance by individual Parties. It discussed the outcome of the reporting by Parties on implementation. It also considered preliminary admissibility of communications ACCC/C/2008/24 (Spain) and ACCC/C/2008/25 (Albania).
The nineteenth meeting of the Committee was held on 5-7 March 2008 in Geneva. The Committee discussed its draft findings with regard to communications ACCC/C/2005/15 (Romania), ACCC/C/2006/16 (Lithuania), ACCC/C/2006/17 (EC) and ACCC/C/2006/18 (Denmark), inter alia, on the basis of any comments received from the parties concerned, as well as preliminary admissibility of two new communications received. The Committee also discussed its report to the Meeting of the Parties, including reporting on compliance by individual Parties, implementation of decision of the 2nd meeting of the Parties on compliance and compliance with the reporting requirements.
The eighteenth meeting of the Committee took place on 28-30 November 2007 in Geneva. Among other things, the Committee entered into discussions on communication ACCC/C/2007/18 (Denmark), in the presence of the communicant and the Party concerned. The Committee also deliberated on communications ACCC/C/2005/15 (Romania), ACCC/C/2006/16 (Lithuania), ACCC/C/2005/17 (EC), ACCC/C/2007/19 (UK), ACCC/C/2007/20 (Kazakhstan), and ACCC/C/2007/21 (EC). It also discussed progress made with regard to the implementation of several recommendations of the Committee and decisions of the Meeting of the Parties.
The seventeenth meeting of the Committee took place on 26-28 September 2007 in Geneva. The Committee, among other things, held a discussion on the substance of communication ACCC/C/2007/17 (EC) and considered relevant developments with regard to communications ACCC/C/2005/15 (Romania), ACCC/C/2007/18 (Denmark), ACCC/C/2007/19 (United Kingdom), and ACCC/C/2007/20 (Kazakhstan). It also discussed how it would address its findings and, where appropriate, recommendations, with regard to compliance by individual Parties in its report to the third meeting of the Parties.
The sixteenth meeting of the Committee took place on 13-14 June 2007 in Geneva. Among other things, the Committee finalized and adopted its findings and recommendations with regard to communication ACCC/C/2005/12 (Albania). It also discussed communication ACCC/C/2006/16 (Lithuania). The Party concerned and the communicant participated in the open part of the discussion.
The fifteenth meeting of the Committee was held 21-23 March 2007. The Committee, among other things, discussed its draft findings and recommendations with regard to communication ACCC/C/2005/12 (Albania) and agreed to forward the draft for comments to the parties concerned as well as to the relevant international financial institutions. It also discussed additional information received from the communicant in communication ACCC/C/2005/15 (Romania) and agreed on a number of points to be raised with the Party concerned.
The fourteenth meeting of the Committee was held on 13-15 December 2006. The Committee had an additional discussion on communication ACCC/C/2005/12 (Albania) with participation of the Part concerned and the Communicant. The Committee also discussed the draft guidance document on reporting.
The eleventh meeting of the Committee was held on 29-31 March 2006. The Committee, among other things, finalized its findings and recommendation with regard to communication ACCC/C/2004/08 (Armenia) and findings on communication ACCC/C/2005/13 (Hungary), held further deliberations on communications ACCC/C/2004/06 (Kazakhstan), ACCC/C/2005/11 (Belgium), and ACCC/C/2005/12 (Albania) and determined preliminary admissibility of commmunication ACCC/C/2006/16 (Lithuania). At its ninth meeting (12-14 october 2005, Geneva) the Compliance Committee prepared draft findings and recommendations with regard to communications ACCC/C/2004/06 and ACCC/C/2004/08 and determined preliminary admissibility of communications ACCC/C/2005/14 and ACCC/C/2005/15.
At its eighth meeting on 22-24 May 2005 in Almaty (Kazakhstan) the Committee discussed the subject matter of communications ACCC/C/2004/06 and ACCC/C/2004/08 and determined preliminary admissibility of communications ACCC/C/2005/12 and ACCC/C/2005/13. The meeting took place back-to-back with the 2nd Meeting of the Parties to the Convention where the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Veit Koester, presented its work.
