The sixteenth meeting of the Working Group of the Parties to the Aarhus Convention will be held on 19-21 June 2013 in Geneva (Palais des Nations, Salle V). The Working Group is expected to review the progress in implementing the current work programme and discuss a number of items in preparation for the fifth ordinary session of the Meeting of the Parties, including:
- Evaluation of the current functioning and implementation of the Convention;
- Assessment of the current interim scheme of contributions;
- Future strategic plan 2015-2020 and future work programme 2015-2017;
- Elements of possible financial arrangements; and
- Agenda for the fifth ordinary session of the Meeting of the Parties.
Furthermore, the meeting will feature a thematic session on promoting the application of the principles of the Convention in international forums which will be organised in the format of panel presentations followed by an interactive discussion. The programme for the session will be made available on the meeting's website in due course.
Prior to the sixteenth meeting of the Working Group of the Parties a meeting of the Task Force on Access to Justice will be organized from 17-18 June 2013 in Geneva.

Please note that this is a paper free meeting. No documents will be made available in the meeting room. We kindly urge you to bring with you all documents that you will require.
Registration, Visa, Financial support and Practical information
Participants are requested to complete the registration form and send it by e-mail to the secretariat at public. participation@unece.org as soon as possible, but not later than 3 June 2013. Participants requiring a personal invitation letter for visa purposes should indicate it clearly in the registration form and submit the registration form as early as possible taking into account the period required to obtain the visa.
Limited funds are available to support delegates from countries with economies in transition, eligible for financial support, and NGOs. Participants requiring such support are requested to complete the financial support form and send it to the secretariat at public. participation@unece.org as soon as possible, but not later than 6 May 2013.
Wireless internet is available in all meeting rooms. Kindly note that electrical power plugs and sockets are unique to Switzerland within the UNECE region (type J, three-pin, 230 V, 50 Hz), and respectively require an adaptor, though slim two-pin plugs (type C) will fit.
