Twenty-ninth meeting of the Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling

10 - 12 May 2004

Amiens, France

The meeting was hosted by INERIS. It was held in the regional parliament deliberations room of the Conseil Régionale de Picardie, 11 mai Albert 1er, Amiens.

Experts from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the European Community participated in the meeting. Representatives from the EMEP Centre for Integrated Assessment Modelling (CIAM) at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), the Meteorological Synthesizing Centre-West of EMEP (MSC-W), the Coordination Center for Effects (CCE), the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Topic Centre on Air and Climate Change (ETC/ACC), as well as from the Oil Companies' European Organization for Environment, Health and Safety (CONCAWE), and the Union of the Electricity Industry (EURELECTRIC), were present. A member of the UNECE secretariat also attended. Mr. Rob Maas (Netherlands) chaired the meeting.

V. ASSESSMENT OF EFFECTS

Presentation by Jean-Marc Brignon (France) on the work at the National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks (INERIS).

Presentation by Frank de Leeuw (ETC/ACC) on the progress in the CAFE street emission ceiling project.

Presentation by Jurgen Schneider (WHO) on the results of the seventh meeting of the Task Force on Health, held on 6-7 May 2004 in Bonn (Germany), and progress on the WHO project “Systematic review of health aspects of air pollution in Europe”.

Presentation by Max Posch (CCE) on the dynamic modelling of ecosystem effects.

Presentation by Jean-Paul Hettelingh (CCE) on the development of robust country-dependent impact factors and on the results of the land cover workshop held on 10 March 2004 at IIASA, Laxenburg (Austria).

VI. OTHER INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT MODELLING ACTIVITIES
