UNECE’s work on sustainable energy is designed to improve access to affordable and clean energy for all and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the carbon footprint of the energy sector in the region. It promotes international policy dialogue and cooperation among governments, energy industries and other stakeholders. The UNECE Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Status Report 2017 Report will provide a comprehensive overview of the current status of renewable energy and energy efficiency trends in the following 17 selected countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Montenegro, Russian Federation, Serbia, Tajikistan, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The latest draft of this upcoming REN21 UNECE Renewable Energy Status Report 2017 is now available for public consultation and we invite experts to provide their comments.

Survey on overcoming barriers to investing in energy efficiency
We invite you to participate in the Survey on overcoming barriers to investing in energy efficiency. The survey is part of a joint study by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency that aims to examine and recommend measures that support increased investment in energy efficiency. Deadline extended to 7 February 2017. Survey is closed. Responses are being analyzed. We will inform you of the results of the survey when the analysis is complete.
