The fourth session of the ECE Ad Hoc Group of Experts on Clean Electricity Production from Coal and Others Fossil Fuels, will be held on 16 - 17 November 2009 at the Palais des Nations, in Room XII, Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting will be held at the same week as the eighteen session of the Committee on Sustainable Energy.
On 16 November the Cleaner Electricity Production Forum - Cleaner Electricity Investments and the Financial Crisis will address the interaction between changing technologies, evolving policy expectations, and the existing and expected regulatory framework. Participants will evaluate progress in moving towards cleaner electricity production from fossil fuels, including the impact of the financial crisis and the status of large-scale projects which require a suitable regulatory framework to attract investment. The event will also contribute to a better understanding of the interaction among technology providers, electricity vendors, investment community and Governments with presentations and panel discussions on the following:
- Market, technological and cost developments;
- Selected investments trends;
- Regulatory panels: evolving regulation and possible future developments.
