Renewable Energies

The UNECE Committee on Sustainable Energy is initiating a dialogue within the Energy Security Forum among senior executives from major oil and natural gas companies, energy producers, and leading financial institutions.
The aim is to review energy security risks, financial market reactions and potential energy policy responses.

The Electric Power Roundtable will serve to not only highlight the challenges and barriers to investment in the electricity sector in the transition economies, but also to debate how these issues might be overcome in order to look for solutions that would create the appropriate environment to encourage investment.

The Renewable Energies Roundtable will focus on whether and how strongly current policies support the promotion of renewable energies and to what extent the work and activities of the UNECE should be applied in promoting renewable energies.
