The Analysis Group (AG) was created in early 2003 to develop a programme of analysis at national and
international levels. The GGP will generate a very rich data set, which allows for in-depth and high quality
analysis for policy-oriented and scientific research. The Group will elaborate guidelines for descriptive
analyses that are crucial for policy makers. It will also provide suggestions for explanatory research projects
aimed at cross-sectional or longitudinal analyses, either at the national level or oriented towards cross-country
research.
