ECONOMIC ANALYSIS DIVISION

SPRING SEMINARS

EAD Spring Seminar takes place once a year and provides an important forum for policy debate on a selected topic of interest to economic policymaking in the ECE region. International and regional experts and academics are invited to make presentations on the given topic. These are then debated by designated expert discussants and by other seminar participants from across the region. Each Seminar concludes with a set of policy implications and recommendations which are typically debated in the subsequent UNECE Annual Sessions.

Financing for Development in the ECE Region (2005)

It discussed the roles of FDI, of the domestic financial sector, of trade, and of natural resource endowments and their management for economic development, particularly in Southeast Europe, Russia and the Caspian region.
