UNECE Annual Session
EAD organises the first day of the Annual Session of the Economic Commission for Europe. The first day is devoted mainly to discussions by representatives of member-countries of ECE on two principal themes:

current economic developments in the ECE region. Discussions are based on the current issue of the Economic Survey of Europe; and
-
policy debates on issues of relevance to policy-makers throughout the ECE region, e.g. labour markets, ageing, energy policy, transport, sustainable development strategies and immigration. These debates benefit from the Spring Seminar (which is held during the previous day), as they deal with closely related issues. Frequently, participants (experts and country representatives) attend both meetings and debates held during the first day of the Annual Session draw extensively on the conclusions from the Spring Seminar.
