UNECE SPRING SEMINAR 2004 In 2004 the UNECE Spring Seminar focused on "Competitiveness and Economic Growth in the ECE Region". This seminar was held on 23 February 2004 in the Palais des Nations, Geneva. The annual meeting of the Commission followed the Seminar, from 24-26 February. The first day of the Commission meeting was devoted to a discussion of the policy implications of the Spring Seminar. These meetings were open to the public. The papers presented at this Seminar will be published in issue number two of the 2004 Economic Survey of Europe. Last year's ECE Spring Seminar focused on "Sustainable Development in the ECE Region". This seminar was held on 3 March 2003 in the Palais des Nations, Geneva. The annual meeting of the Commission follows the seminar, from 4-6 March. The first day of the Commission meeting was devoted to a discussion of the policy implications of the Spring Seminar and focus on national sustainable development strategies and the UNECE's follow-up to the World Summit on Sustainable Development. These meetings were open to the public. In 2002 the ECE Spring Seminar focused on "Labour market challenges in the ECE Region". This seminar was held on 6 May 2002, in the Palais des Nations, Geneva. The annual meeting of the Commission follows the seminar, from 7-10 May. The first day of the Commission meeting was devoted to a discussion on the policy implications of the Spring Seminar.
