Greg Falconer is the Deputy Director on Innovation Policy at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy of the United Kingdom. 

 

Greg is responsible for UK innovation policy, including increasing the R&D intensity of the UK economy. He is also responsible for managing the UK science budget at a strategic level as well as delivering strategic advice on science and innovation in areas of Ministerial priority.

 

Greg previously worked in the Cabinet Office, leading civil service efficiency and reform projects and other strategic initiatives. Before that, Greg was Associate Director at Eurasia Group, a political risk consultancy and a strategy consultant at KPMG. He has also spent time in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and at RAND Europe.
