UN/CEFACT

Introduction

The United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) is a subsidiary, intergovernmental body of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) which serves as a focal point within the United Nations Economic and Social Council for trade facilitation recommendations and electronic business standards. It has global membership and its members are experts from intergovernmental organizations, individual countries' authorities and also from the business community.

Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business Resources for COVID-19 Response

The COVID-19 pandemic has evolved from a health crisis into an economic crisis causing major disruption in global trade. The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and its subsidiary inter-governmental body - UN/CEFACT have a number of tools and resources that can be used to address the immediate and long term challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic to facilitate global trade. The aim of this website is to provide a non-exhaustive list of such resources on trade facilitation and digitalization.

Highlights

30 July 2020: UN/CEFACT would like to remind users that the cut-off date for submissions of the new DMRs for UN/CCL, D.20B and UN/EDIFACT, D.20B is 11 September 2020.

23 July 2020: This is to announce a 60-day public review until 23 September 2020 concerning the International Transport and Forwarding messages project.
