At its first meeting in March 2007, the Team of Specialists on Innovation and Competitiveness Policies elected:

Mr. Krzysztof Gulda - Director of Economy Development Department, Ministry of Economy, Poland, as Chairperson;

Mr. Albert (Al) Link- Professor of Science and Technology Policy, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, United States, as Vice-Chairperson;

Mr. Göran Marklund - Director and Head of Strategy Development of the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA), Sweden, as Vice-Chairperson;

Ms. Aliki Pappa - Head of Science and Technology Policy Division, Ministry of Development, Greece, as Vice-Chairperson;

and

Mr. Yuri Poluneev - President of the International Management Institute in Kiev and President of the Competitiveness Council of Ukraine, Ukraine, as Vice-Chairperson;
