Rainier d’Haussonville

Director for Public Affairs
Veolia, France

Rainier d’Haussonville has been Director for Public Affairs since 2010 for Veolia Environment after having held the position of Director of Institutional and European Relations for Veolia Water since 2008.

Rainier d’Haussonville holds a degree from the Institute of Political Studies (IEP), Paris (1994) and a Master’s degree in European Studies from the London School of Economics (1996) and is an alumn us of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration.  After working as an auditor at the French Cour des comptes (2000-2004), he was deputy to the head of the financial section within the Secrétariat général des affaires européennes (2004). He was appointed to the private office of the French Prime minister and was in charge of European economic affairs (2005-2007).  He is a member of the Board of the European Federation of national associations of water services (Eureau) and a member of the advisory board of Institut de la Gestion Déléguée (french think tank on PPP).

He is a Member of UNECE PPP Business Advisory Board since January, 2014.
