There are shared housing and land management challenges in all UNECE member countries such as old, non-ecologically sustainable buildings, a lack of access to housing, and changes in property rights.
The Committee on Housing and Land Management facilitates a dialogue between governments for sharing innovative practice, giving advice and developing policy guidelines to address common housing and land management problems.
The UNECE will host the Europe and Central Asia Housing Forum from 22 to 24 April 2013 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. The Forum will explore the uncertainties facing the housing sector in the region from a wide variety of perspectives. More information is available in this information sheet.
